Its for you !

Hi pals - this one note is personnaly to each one of you :-) - Strollby is a site run by a group of young Indian's . We have structured each functionality in the site to make life as easy as possible to the users . We are nothing without you people using Strollby :-) - OK we agree we are not big yet , but with your continuoes support we are sure to compete with the big players . If you happen to find some functionality missing in Strollby , do please keep us posted ( you can even comment in this blog ) - we will for sure cover it in the upcoming releases ! We have already started working on the next set of enhancements for Strollby :-) You will see it soon .... till then please keep using strollby .

Some of the features in this release ...

Here I cover the new features in this release of Strollby :

* First of all , all the major bugs which prevailed in the previous version has been looked into ( Pals if you do find any still , please comment on it - we will fix it for sure )

* We have given options for the user to save a favorite ( Link ) as a Private or public URL . Only Public URLS will be listed in the "Social Bookmarks" Section , the private ones are only for you !














* Also from this release we have removed the compulsion of you creating a folder each time to add a new link . You can just like that add links outside a folder too . The right click menu has new entries for you to check out .








* One sad thing is we have planned to remove the "Site seeing" section from this release ! Yup , we found that this link was not parallel to our "Social bookmarking / Microinformation storage" domain . So we are saying ba'bye to "Site seeing" from V3 , thus making Strollby stick strongly to its "Socail bookmarking / Microinfromatio storage" behaviour .
[ It will not be removed immidiatly , but in a couple of days as it was a last minute decision and our designer is on leave ;-) ]

* The "home page" or the "Social bookmarks" page has got many new cool features as well ! from now on you can just add any link/URL you like - just by clicking on the "ADD+" button and it gets saved to your account !

* Dude - forgot to mention , we have corrected the "Security code" bug in the "comments" page ( as there was many problems with users not able to comment in the previous version )

* Well we have also added a cool search feature on the "Home page" ! Now you can search through Strollby's DB for the required sites . Pals this search will become effecient only as you users keep adding more data and comments :-)

* We have added provisions for you to keep looking at the latest added links into Strollby by different users like "In the past one day" , " In the past 1 week" , "In the past two weeks" etc . Well its all done so that you users keep discovering new sites :-)

* Pals in this release we have also added some API sort of features from Strollby . It all comes in the bottom tray or Footer . In this we have the Strollby widget , which will be of mutual help for yourself and Strollby if your owning a website ! Yes... if you add the Strollby Widget to your site by copying the Javascript code to your site we assure good traffic to your site by sending in users from strollby to your site . So why dont you try it out ! -- I have added a sample widget in this page on the top of my picture ( a small Strollby logo you can see - click it ! ) . This is how the widget will look in your site .

Strollby V3 released today !

Hi people out there ! Well .. how u folks doing ?? Its like this - Iam very new to Blogger ( as previously I was having my own technical blog , in which I was doing web 2.0 reviews in the site called as Strollby.com ) , and I wanted this blogger account to get more closer to you people and get to know you more . You know its really cool to mingle with your users and get direct comments from them :-) - well ok pals , tonight as I write this blog we are releasing Version 3 ( V3 ) of Strollby. If you are existing user of Strollby , you might be knowing the use of the site ( and also not to mention the errors that prevailed in the previous versions LOL :-) ) . Whatever - but this release V3 has fixed almost all the bugs and has come up with a new set of features that we thought might be really of more use to our users and might make them stick to the site more than ever !
